You may recognize this gorgeous little lady. Little Lola was one of the first newborns photographed at the beginning of the year. I was ecstatic to return to Lola’s home 3 months later to capture her growth and her beautiful sisters. Spending so much time with these babies at their newborn session its so easy to get attached. I love seeing how she has grown and adore working with her sweet mother and adorable sisters.
If you’ve worked with me before you know I love to add as much meaning as possible into a picture. Of course capturing the simple beauty of a baby is important but there should be great variety. There are so many ways to capture those things, moments, place, etc that you never want to forget. We did so much of that in this session and it truly made it one of the most fun sessions I have ever photographed.
The best part was mom already had things ready she wanted to include in the photos. Lola’s mom makes beautiful headbands, one of which we used in her newborn photos so I was so excited to see she had it ready for this session. We also used a dress that she wore for her naming along with an outfit that her two older sisters had worn in their 3 month photos. What a great memory to have for all these girls.
In addition to adding in meaningful items, it was a must to get some pictures throughout their home. To document life is a important but to document where your babies grow up is priceless. We found some great spots to photograph in this gorgeous home…and I love the genuine interaction that was captured between these adorable sisters.
