When you find out you are expecting a new bundle of joy, like a lot of people you will instantly go into planning mode. Decorating baby’s nursery, taking birthing classes, finding names, reading about what to expect the first year, finding baby’s first daycare, the list goes on. You spend nine months ensuring you are as ready as you can be for your little miracle to arrive. And while this to do list is important, these aren’t the memories that truly stick in your heart. What sticks with you is the look on your husbands face when you tell him you are pregnant, when you first feel baby kick, hearing baby’s heart beat, thinking about all the amazing things your baby will be and do…this long list of joys and firsts starts well before your baby enters the world. And these are the memories that you want to hold onto, the stories you want to tell your baby as they grow. This is the exact reason it is so important to document your pregnancy. Documenting your pregnancy should capture all these emotions and memories in every single photo as photos are the pages of your (and your baby’s) life story.
It’s such a joy to do this very thing for so many couples. And somehow I am truly blessed to do this for the most amazing couples. If you know the couple below, you’ll know exactly why I say that. Jessica booked our Signature Maternity Session so she had her hair and makeup professional done prior to the session (every expecting momma deserves this pampering). And goodness, did she look gorgeous. I think her husband would be quick to agree….I saw his face when he first saw her (my absolute favorite part of the session).
